Vector Wood
Came across this tutorial about converting photos to vector. I checked it out and it seems pretty straightforward so I gave it a try. After 4 hours...

This is the first time I tried this. I think the highlights needs a little tweaking. I chose to do Jean's photo to cheer her up or make her laugh. She's been feeling a bit down lately due to an incident at work.
Suggestion, before doing this, buy a Wacom Graphire (or Cintiq) unless, you want to get CTS to have an excuse to wear those cool wristguard thingy. A little more practice and lots and lots of spare time should be enough to create a high caliber vector art like this.
Update: Lyn just showed me a vector artist site, crisvector.com. Now that is real vector art.
