Fete de la Musique 2007

Yeah! It's the time of the year again where all local bands gather up for one night of celebration.

Marlon and I came all the way from our shoot in SM Southmall to Malate to experience the festival. Grabe and tagal ng byahe namin dahil sa trapik, almost 2.5 hrs. It also rained, but not that heavy, still we couldn't use our camera out without covering it. But all the hassle was worth it.

We were given backstage passes from 2elev8's generous client, Donna (she owns Soap Opera Bath Shop)

Sinag at the Hip-Hop Stage (Adriatico cor. Nakpil St.)

4 and H at the World stage (Nakpil cor. Maria Orosa St.)

I was not able to get the name of the band. This is the Rock stage (Remedios cor. Adriatico St.)

If not for the rain, we could get more shots of the crowd.

Below are photos from the main stage. This is where we stayed till the end of the festival.

Kadangyan playing their own blend of rock/tribal music. Hanep to. One of their song reminds me of a tune from Tool.

Still rockin despite of the rain.
It's officially 27 hours that I am wide awake when I took this.

Sizzlinnn!

Ace, Alcy, Coo2x and I were supposed to have breakfast at Something Fishy and to talk about things for Overbreak (our band). At the last minute, Ace called it off. Nak ng teteng, na-set na mind ko to eat all I can. Alcy and I still need to meet though so I could give her Zach's bday photos. And so we did. I met up with her at Trinoma and the first thing we did was to look for somewhere to eat because I'm starving to death (nag fasting kasi ako dahil akala ko lalamon ako eh, amf!). I remembered this new Japanese resto that serves sizzling steak. I know it's bad idea to order food served in hot metal plates when you are really hungry cause you still to wait for it to cool down. But the place and food looks nice.

Sizzling Pepper Steak
It's how the Japanese do it!

Tamago Soup Appetizer

Mas masarap daw pag rekta sa bowl.

Kahit ano, pare-pareho lang yan pag gutom.

Ang bilis dumating ng order.

Kalimutan ko kung ano tawag sa order ni Alcy.

Eto sa ken, Hamburg and Karaage Chicken with steamed vegetables and bean sprouts.

Sunnogggg!

Si Ate to the rescue.... sya na lang daw mag hahalo nung food ko kasi nasusunog na. Hehe.

All photos taken using Alcy's phone.

Marc Ecko @ Embassy

Marlon and I were commissioned to shoot the Marc Ecko, Ecko Red special event at Embassy, The Fort. It was one crazy night filled with alchohol, loud music and of course the beautiful people who supported the event.

The Fort.

Taken by Marlon. This is the photo wall to shoot random people. I look lost here.

Hindi naman ako mukahng antok noh?

Cool ice bucket. I would like to have one.

I liked this shot even if its kinda blurry.

This is the girl that got the free Ecko cap.

This guy somehow reminds me of Ludacris. He also got a cool Pilipinas beads.

Yep, the flash didn't fire here. I still like the effect though.

Birthday Mall Fountain

The Birthday

Anna celebrated her "18th" birthday at Jay-J's Ortigas. Lot of her college and work friends came. Of course, Ace and I were "fashionably" late so everyone were already loose. My highlight for me was when I realized na masarap palang pulutan and brownies.

This maybe the longest drinking session table I ever joined in.

After that, we went to Starbucks Metrowalk.

Boy band pose.

One thing you need to do after heavy inuman is never fall asleep.

Group hug.

Ace: Sniff my finger then guess what I did in the men's room.

The TRRS Mall Tour

We were commissioned by my friend to cover their Mall tour for the entire month of June. The first one was at SM Manila City Hall, este Mall. It was my first time there. I find the place a bit gloomy.

The Tamiya RC School team.

This is Taka-San, he is ranked no. 3 in the world.

This is 7 yr old Alex. He started with RC racing a year ago and now he'll be competing at the Tamiya qualifying round in Taiwan.

This is John, Regine and Piolo. They never got there.

The Photoshoot with Ayenne.

After finishsing off with the TRRS mall tour. I went over to Trinoma to meet up with my old friend Ayenne. She got herself a Nikon D40 a week ago. I asked her to read the manual before she left Singapore so that I can go straight ahead teaching her photo stuff and wont waste time figuring out how to set it up. Guess what, I have to figure her camera out for her while she went into a shooting frenzy with my D80. What's with women and instruction manuals anyway? It was already dark until I figured out how to operate it.

This is Ayenne. This is not candid. She forced me to take a picture of her. hehe

I'm checking my cam to shoot some kids playing with the fountain.

Embrace the blur.

2 second exposure minus tripod = hirap.

Kuha ni Ayenne. Mukha akong kuba dito na isang lang paa, maikli pa. Ang werid ng kuha amf. haha

A closer look at the fountain. I liked the flare here (the greenish dots at the top of the fountain.)
